NSW relaxes restrictions on gatherings as zero local COVID-19 cases reported

The NSW Premier has announced more easing of restrictions around gatherings after the state recorded zero local cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.Gatherings in outdoor public spaces and group bookings at restaurants will be increased to 30 people from this Friday.Currently, no more than 10 people can sit together at a restaurant and no more than 20 people could gather outside.”This is good news to allow people to prepare for Christmas and the celebrations over summer,” Gladys Berejiklian said.From December 1, the number of people who can attend weddings will be lifted to 300 people, subject to the 4-square-metre rule indoors and 4-square-metre rule outdoors.In the 24 hours to 8.00pm yesterday 6,952 tests were completed with only four travellers in hotel quarantine returning positive results.More to come.
