Victoria records 15 new coronavirus cases


Victoria has recorded 15 new cases of coronavirus and no new deaths, the state’s health department says.The 14-day rolling average for Victoria now stands at 9.9, while in regional Victoria the figure is 0.4.There are now 11 cases with an unknown source of infection, which is one more than was reported yesterday.Achieving a rolling 14-day case average of five or lower, with fewer than five “mystery” cases is the target for Melbourne to take the third step towards reopening. The Premier has suggested people in Melbourne would be given greater freedom of movement from October 19, but warned the next step out of restrictions would not be as big as hoped.More to come.
