After the great success of the previous OnePlus 8 series smartphone, OnePlus is back with OnePlus 8T, a new smartphone to the lineup in the OnePlus 8 series that was launched yesterday via virtual event. It is a premium flagship smartphone from the company which offers new and better features but fewer improvements than the previous T series.
Specs of Oneplus 8T:
Oneplus 8T comes with a 6.55 inches AMOLED display that supports a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels with a 20:9 aspect ratio. OnePlus 8 Pro is better in terms of screen size and resolution than the OnePlus 8T. It has a peak brightness of 1100 nits and has corning gorilla glass protection. It has an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Besides, it is the first smartphone from OnePlus to feature an always-on display. It uses an AI algorithm that chooses the best portrait shots from your gallery and offers it to use as always on display wallpaper. Also, OnePlus has partnered with Snapchat that allows you to use your Bitmoji avatar as always-on display wallpaper. The avatar changes depending on your daily behavior and surroundings.
Under the hood, it has a snapdragon 865 octa-core chipset and GPU is powered by Adreno 650. It comes in two configurations: 8GB LPDDR4x RAM + 128GB internal storage UFS 3.1 and 12GB LPDDR4x RAM + 256GB internal storage UFS 3.1 but it does not have an extra slot for microSD. It runs on Android 10 OS with customization of the company’s Oxygen OS 11. OnePlus 8T is one of the first smartphones to come with Android 11 OS out of the box.
The rear side of the phone packs a quad camera and dual-LED flash in a single module. The primary camera of the 48MP IMX 586 sensor that is used for optical image stabilization. A 16MP ultra-wide lens is the widest lens used by the company to come with a 123° wide-angle view to capture everything of vast landscapes. The other two lenses are a 5MP macro lens that can capture the object from a 3cm distance and a 2MP depth sensor. It uses an AI that can detect a human and blur the surrounding. The front camera is 16MP which houses in a punch hole located at the top left of the phone.
The battery capacity of the smartphone is 4500mAh which is better than 4300mAh that of Oneplus 8. It comes with a 65W warp charger that charges the battery from 0-60% in 15 min and 0-100% in just 39 min. Now for the safety protocol, it comes with 12 temperature sensors and extra encryption chips that give the comfortable battery operation giving the maximum output of 65W.

It comes in two color options of Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver. It will go on sale first in India from October 16 from Amazon.in and Oneplus.in. Its price in India is INR 42,999 (~NPR 68,798) for 8/128GB and INR 45,999 (~NPR 73,598) for 12/256GB variant.
