Mumbai Indians (MI) is the most successful franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the side has won the tournament 5 times. And they will enter IPL 2021 to defend their title and possibly make a hat-trick of IPL wins.
Everyone praises the MI skipper Rohit Sharma for this amazing feat but according to Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit is not just a brilliant leader on the field, but also an interesting character to be around off the field as well.
“I think he has been doing an amazing job and having 5 titles with Mumbai Indians is a proof of that. Result is in front of everyone. On the field everyone has seen him how he handles the situation and how he is there for everyone,” Yadav told Sports Today.
The right-hand batsman from Mumbai who just made his India debut in the recently concluded England series revealed that off the field Rohit Sharma is a different person.

“Off the field, I think he is the most perfect guy to be around, he jokes around and even there he has a lot of knowledge to share to every cricketer out here. This is a very good point about him which makes him different,” Suryakumar said.
The Rohit Sharma-led side will be taking the field against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the tournament opener on 9 April at Chennai.
