RSWS 2021: Twitterverse hails Monty Panesar as better than current English spinners after his 3/15

England Legends spinner Monty Panesar rattled the Indian Legends batting line-up by producing a match-winning spell, following which many cricket fans called him better than the current England spinners.

England Legends on account of skipper Kevin Pietersen’s 35-ball 74 runs posted a mammoth total of 188 runs in their innings.

Sachin Tendulkar led India Legends in response to the target of 189 runs tumbled in the start as left-arm spinner Monty Panesar just like the old times wreaked havoc against the Indian batters with his accuracy.

The left-arm-spinner returned with the figures of 3/15, scalping the wickets of Mohammad Kaif, Yuvraj Singh, and skipper Sachin Tendulkar, and helped his Team beat India Legends by 6 runs in a high scoring thriller. 

Following Panesar’s impressive spell, Twitterati went frenzied and praised him for his magnificent spell of bowling. Many fans called him better than a current lot of English spinners.
